Starbase

The 6th Grade students at RIS participate in a 6 day program at the Rutland Armory called Starbase Vermont. The students go to the armory (and even the Rutland Airport) once a week for 6 weeks. Burlington Taiko Drummers

As part of the 2007-2008 RIS Celebration of Asia, the Burlington Taiko Drummers were invited to perform at RIS. Taiko, in Japanese, means “big drum.” This interactive performance was a lesson in ancient Japanese art, language, music, and culture. A wonderful time was had by all!
